Curridge Horticultural
Society

Curridge, Berkshire

A rather grand name for what really is a gathering of gardeners from different parts of the area, keen to share their experiences and knowledge
in the growing of flowers and vegetables.

  1. TALKS - We hold talks throughout the year in Curridge W I Hall usually 3rd Thurdsay of the month at 7.30pm, by invited experts in their own field. New members and guests are always welcome. See the events page for details.
  2. SOCIAL - You will find there are fun evenings too, the quiz and sausage supper is very popular, and our BBQ in the Hall grounds is well attended, as is our “Christmas” Lunch usually held early in the New Year.
  3. SHOWS - We hold 2 shows each year –the Spring show is held in the evening and is usually judged in front of everyone, with the judge giving reasons for their decisions. The main show is held in late Summer on a Sunday, and as well as garden produce, includes flower arranging, children’s classes, photography and cookery.
  4. SALE - The sale in May of vegetables, plants and cuttings is our main source of income—we have a great reputation throughout the area for quality and unusual plants –you can rely on a wide choice of tomato and bean plants, perennials and geraniums, ready for the coming summer.
